Clarence E. Tholstrup, 87, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at 11:50 p.m. at Netherland HealthCare.
Born in Northfield, Minnesota, he was a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield. Clarence was employed with Eastman Kodak retiring as a Senior Research Chemist in 1987. He was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church and the Greer Memorial Sunday School Class.
Surviving are his wife, Zena Tholstrup, Kingsport; one daughter, Ann Tholstrup Taylor and husband, Sheldon, Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Clarence E. Tholstrup Jr. and wife, Melody, Huntsville, Alabama, and William M. ?Bill? Tholstrup and wife, Julie, Sacramento, California; and four grandchildren, Sheldon and Elizabeth Taylor and Meaghan and Carson Tholstrup.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. John Brewster officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Tholstrup Jr., William ?Bill? Tholstrup, W. Sheldon Taylor, and G. Sheldon Taylor.
