Clark Lindsay Brewer, 69, of Kingsport, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at his home following a brief illness.
"C. L." was born in Kingsport, where he had resided for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was self-employed in the construction business, working primarily in the Tri-Cities area.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother, Ben and Myrtle Brewer; brother, Dale Brewer; and sister, Mary Ann Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Tonda Zimmerman and husband Eric of Brisbane, Australia, Nacole Dykes and husband David of Church Hill; one son, Lance Brewer and Toni Brewer of Pensacola, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Lance Brewer II and wife Megan, Taylor Brewer, Cozette and Zoya Zimmerman, Dane, Dawson, and Brook Dykes.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Goshen Valley Cemetery in Church Hill with Dr. Shannon Salyer officiating. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers
