Claude E. Breeding

Claude E. Breeding, 74, Bloomingdale, went to be with his Lord and Savior, his great physician, at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 after 11 years of fighting multiple myeloma. Claude was born in Kingsport and had lived in Bloomingdale his entire life. He was a graduate of Ketron High School where he was drum major his senior year. He also loved to play the piano and sing in the choir. Claude was an employee of Holston Defense for 25 years. He was a member of the First Church of God in Kingsport and Vermont United Methodist Church. Claude was an avid UT fan and loved to watch TV sports and gospel music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Earnest Breeding.

Claude is survived by his wife of almost 50 years as of November 19th, Judy Watson Breeding of the home; two daughters, Karen Dean and husband, Brad, and Becky Puckett and husband, Freddie of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Sarah, Seth and Kayleigh; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Emily; siblings, Tommy Breeding and wife, Phyllis, and Robert Breeding and wife, Carolyn of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; and his special best friend, Chowder (Crowder) pup.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6:00 pm at Vermont United Methodist Church, and at any time at the home. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Mark Stayton and Pastor Christie Taylor officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Wade Wampler, Andy Wampler, Harold Davis, Mark Stayton, Seth Dean and Brad Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be James Scales, Ben Kilgore, Sarah Dean and Kayleigh Buckner.
