Claude Triplett

Claude "Toby" Triplett, 82, of Kingsport, died Tuesday night, September 28, 2010, at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Kingsport, where he resided all of his life. He retired from Rental Uniform in 1990 after 37 years of service.

Toby was an avid golfer. He was a longtime member of Meadowview Golf Club and a charter member of The Crossings Golf Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Ernest and Martha New Triplett; three sisters; and a brother.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue Triplett, of the home; daughters, Lisa Easterling and husband, Sam, of Louisville, TN, and Ann Holdam and Joshua Muncy, of Nashville, TN; sons, Michael Triplett and wife Delilah, Dallas, GA, and Toby Triplett and wife, Mary Martha, of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Myles Triplett and Emily Easterling; one stepgrandson, Dorian Otwell; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 2:00, with Rev. Charles Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Triplett, Toby Triplett, Myles Triplett, Sam Easterling, and Joshua Muncy. Honorary pallbearers are Toby's "Golfing Buddies".
