Cleo Bledsoe Hart, 90, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2012.
Born in Blackwater, VA, she had lived in Kingsport most of her life. She worked in Food Service at Lynn Garden Elementary for several years.
Cleo was a member of Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church.
She loved to sew, make crafts, and work in her flowers. She was a loving wife and mother, always had a smile for people, loved laughter and having fun.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 68 years, George Hart; son, Jackie Lynn Hart; mother, Lulia Casteel; sister, Rosella Bradley; and brothers, Quillen Bledsoe and Echol Bledsoe.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen Qualls and husband Kenneth of Kingsport, Sue Peters and husband Dan, of Kingsport; her son, Bill Hart and wife Betty of Mount Carmel; four grandchildren, Tina Peters and husband Timothy, Bryan Qualls and Monique, Scottie Peters, and Jason Hart; six great-grandchildren, Scott Peters, Tristan Peters, Ben Peters, Luke Peters, Laura Beth Peters, and Jake Hart; one sister, Kate Bledsoe of Stickleyville, VA; one brother, Robert Wallace and wife Elizabeth of Jonesborough; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow visitation with Pastor David Salley officiating. Music will be provided by Wayne Bledsoe, Kim Lane and Terry Bennett, soloists.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Claude Bledsoe, Bryan Qualls, Scott Peters, Tim Peters, Brian Smith and Rusty Wallace.
