Clinton S. Cox, 55, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center following an apparent heart attack. Clint was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was a 1983 graduate of Sullivan South High School. He was a deacon and lifelong member of Summersville Baptist Church. Clint was employed by Eastman Chemical Company for the past 32 years.  He was a faithful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a true blessing to all who knew him.  Clint lived his life so that the love of Jesus showed through him in all that he did.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Rosa Cox, and James and Veda Taylor.

Clint is survived by his wife of 32 years, Robin Cox; son, Caden Cox and wife, Kalen; parents, Orville and Nancy Cox; brother, Jeff Cox; sister, Wendy Gamble; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor James Adams and Pastor Clarence Bear officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jared Birch, Jeff Cox, Marc Dunn, Bob Huddleston, Freddie Jones, Billy Joe Lewis, Ryan Parker, Brent Riggs and Harry Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Summersville Baptist Church, 235 Mockingbird Lane, Kingsport, TN 37663.
