Clyde Anthony (Tony) Satterfield

Clyde Anthony (Tony) Satterfield, went "Home" to be with the Lord on March 8, 2018 in Hilton Head Island, SC. He was the life partner and soul mate of Sandy Stell Satterfield. They shared 44 years of marriage together.

Born in Roxboro, NC, he was the son of Clyde Woody Satterfield and Betty Berry Stox. He graduated from Roxboro High School, and North Carolina State University. He was employed at Eastman Chemical Company for 34 years in various assignments and finally as a Director of Marketing in Asia and the United States before retiring in 2007.

He was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church in Kingsport and an Associate member of Providence Presbyterian in Hilton Head Island, SC. He was active in the Emmaus and Tres Dias community as a servant of the Lord to bring others closer to His personal Lord and Savior. He loved his two daughters and grandchildren with all of his heart. When the grandkids called him "Pappy", his face would light up like a Christmas tree. He had the gift of giving and loved to shop for them and take them shopping. A High School class mate said "Kind is the best description I can think of to describe Tony". He was also described as "A living legacy of love" and "A wonderful person". He loved traveling and enjoyed working and living in 3 different countries in Asia for Eastman. But, he loved the beach the most of all places; any beach, but especially Hilton Head Island, SC. So he left his favorite place on earth to arrive at his heavenly Home with his Savior. He was greeted by his 2 year old daughter, Brittany, and awaits the arrival of the rest of his beloved he left behind. Oh what a glorious day that will be.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sandy Stell Satterfield, daughter Sabrina Satterfield Prosser and son in love, Chad Prosser, 3 precious grandchildren, Ande Lyn, Alden, and newborn Addy James, mother Betty Berry Stox, sister Pam Satterfield Emory, and brother Scott Satterfield (Lori). He was predeceased by his father, Clyde Woody Satterfield and daughter, Brittany Gail Satterfield (1988).
