Clyde E. Larkins, Jr., 73, of Kingsport, died Thursday evening, September 17, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. Born in Kingsport, where he resided most of his life, he was a graduate of Church Hill High School.  Clyde served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company after many years of service.  Clyde was a member of Holy Mountain Baptist church.  He was a railroad enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Larkins of the home; son, Glen Larkins and wife, Amanda of Smyrna, TN; 2 grandchildren, Noah Larkins and Hannah Larkins; 4 sisters, Deana Johnson, Geneva Gibson, Jackie Larkins and Darlene Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Holy Mountain Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Tim Price officiating.  Military Rites will be conducted by the National Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
