Clydie Pearl "Sissy" Coffie, 64, of Limestone passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008, after an extended illness.
She worked as a nurse at Greene Valley Developmental Center for 30 years and retired from there in 1990.
Sissy was a loving person and will be missed by those who loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Lorina Holland; an infant son; and her husband, Samuel Coffie.
Surviving are a foster daughter, Joyce A. Holland Ferguson and husband, Rev. Stevie Ferguson; three grandchildren, Vicky Gudger and husband David, Herman Ferguson, and Rosa Ferguson and fiancé Willie Hensley; five uncles, Herman, Bud, Homer, and Richard Holland and Rev. Elmer Littleton; two aunts, Maxie Poore, Bonnie Lou Massengill; a great-uncle, Jess Gregg; a great-aunt, Maddie Bowser and husband, Archie; and special friend, Nevy Hensley.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Zane Tucker and Rev. Stevie Ferguson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Ferguson, Willie Hensley, David Gudger, Jim Holland, Vestil Holland Jr., Jeff Holland, and Lonnie Dishner.
