Coba H. Horton
Coba H. Horton, 93, of Kingsport passed away late Monday evening, December 13, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Hancock County, TN. and resided in Kingsport most of his life. He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company. Mr. Horton was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church and Kingsport Masonic Lodge No. 688, F.&A.M.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Canner and Lillie Horton; one brother, Charlie Horton; and one sister, Edith Horton, who died at the age of five.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Juanita Hurd Horton; two sons, Harold Horton of Kingsport, Tom Horton and wife, Beverly of Unicoi TN.; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Oak Hill Memorial Park inside Oak Hill Mausoleum #4 with Damon Depew officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lynn Garden Baptist Church, 301 May Avenue, Kingsport, TN. 37665.
