Connie Sue Soard

Connie Soard, 56, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday evening, February 24, 2008, at her home in the presence of her family.

She was born in Covington, KY and had resided in Kingsport since 1978. Connie worked as a bookkeeper and secretary at St. Dominic Catholic Church for many years. In addition to her work, she was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Alan Casey, and brother, Terry Casey.

Surviving are her husband, Harry Soard of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Soard, Atlanta, GA; one son, Timothy Soard and wife, Gloria of Chattanooga; one granddaughter, Alexa Soard; her mother, LaVerne Casey, Kingsport; one sister, Darlene Casey Roark of Independence, KY; one brother, Len Casey, Bristol, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Dominic Catholic Church with a Christian Wake Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be conducted at Noon Wednesday at the church with Rev. Charles Burton officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Whitten, Paul McCarty, John Bertuso, and Guy Steinmetz.
