Conrad Lee "Pa" Smith, 64, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 9, 2008, after an extended illness.
Born in San Angelo, Texas, he resided in Kingsport most of his life. Conrad served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era and retired from CitiBank in 2002. He was a former member of the Kingsport Jaycees, an active member of CASA Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children, and served on the Foster Parent Advisory Board of TRACES.
His parents, Dee and Vivian Smith, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Jenny Smith of the home; four sons, Kevin Smith and wife Tammy of Bristol, VA, Dr. Stephen Smith and wife Darlene of Johnson City, Brian Smith and wife Christie of Bristol, TN, Cody Smith of the home; one stepdaughter, Sandra Noe of Kingsport; two stepsons, Johnny Spellar and wife Rhonda of Kingsport, Lee Spellar and wife Renia of Kingsport; a granddaughter, Amanda Noe of the home; fourteen other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nina Hale and husband Jessie of Coeburn, VA, Kathy Willis and husband Ralph of Unicoi, Tennessee; and five nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral homes, Kingsport or any time at the home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Owens officiating.
