OBITUARY INFORMATION

BOLD PRINT: CURTIS N. ?TED? BOATRIGHT

Curtis N. ?Ted? Boatright, 91, Kingsport, formerly of Appalachia, VA, passed away Wednesday December 20, 2006 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry Winegar, following a lengthy illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Wise County, having lived in Kingsport for the past six years. Mr. Boatright was a non commissioned officer in the Civilian Conservation Corps and a Sergeant in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1945, serving in the European Theater. He was a career employee of Flavor Rich Dairy, retiring in January 1980.

Mr. Boatright was a member of Oakwood Forest Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by wife, Juanita Boyd Boatright; one daughter, Deborah Ann Boatright; his parents, Ballard and Emily Boatright; one sister; and four brothers.

Surviving are three daughters, Norma Munsey and husband, Larry; Linda Winegar and husband, Larry, all of Kingsport; Wilma Flanary and husband, Ron of Big Stone Gap, VA; one granddaughter, Kim Wheeler and husband, Jason; two great-grandchildren, Abbey and Creed Wheeler, all of Kingsport; one sister, Ruby Clark of Appalachia, VA; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Kim Stubblefield of Fall Branch.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Forest Christian Church.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the church with Larry Munsey officiating. Eulogies will be provided by Kim Wheeler and Ron Flanary. Music will be provided by Sandra Jones.

Entombment services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Wendel Boyd, Ricky Boyd, Teddy Boyd, Allen Killion, Glen Boyd, and Rudy Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur ?Ott? Dickenson, Cecil Craft, Walter Carmack, and Coach Jim Riggs.

Memorials may be given to Oakwood Forest Christian Church, 1713 East Sevier Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37664.
