Curtis K. McNew, 71, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 10, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Curtis was a child of God and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent countless hours hunting and fishing. Curtis proudly served his country in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Fink McNew and sister, Teresa R. Cox.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Libby Hunt McNew; his daughter, Marsha Bowman (Chris Watson); son, Christopher McNew (Clarica); grandchildren, Beth Bishop (Derek Buchanan), Abby Bowman, Ally Bishop (Michael Kincaid), Joey Herron (Brittany Vicars), Angel Cooper, Phillip Cooper, Rosie McNew, Brody McNew, Amira McNew, William McNew; great grandchild, Hershel Buchanan (Little Man); one brother, James McNew (Janeene) and one sister, Darlene Hensley (James); brother-in-law, Ronnie Cox; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Special friends, Arnold Loftis, Kenny Clevenger, Mike Harbin and Jim Hood.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions on travel and congregating, we have decided to delay services until we can do so in a safe manner. We will notify the public of the date for his Celebration of Life.
