Curtis Paul Trent

Curtis "Paul" Trent, 79, of Blountville, TN, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center following a brief illness.

Paul was born and raised in Sneedville, TN and worked for C.R. Daniel Inc. of Baltimore, MD and Carr Brother's Construction of Blountville. He attended First Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Bethany Trent, daughter Janie Trent, parents Ina Testerman Trent and Joe M. Trent, two brothers James and Jack Trent, and two grandchildren Danny and Jenny Lyn Trent.

Paul is survived by daughters Susie Wright and husband Stuart, Amy Lockett and husband Eric, Heidi Emmert and husband Jeffrey all of Kingsport; sons Sam Trent and wife Jo Ann of Blountville, John Trent and wife Tammy of Kingsport, Dave Trent and wife Margaret of Maynardville, Steve Trent and wife Mary of Blountville, Dan Trent and wife Diane of Bristol, Joe Trent and wife Ruth of Teleford; sisters Helen White of Kingsport, Lola Mae Gilreath of Mount Carmel, Betty Coffey of Bean Station and Judy Seal of Sneedville; 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and special friend Geraldine Collier.

Family will receive friends Monday March 30, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Joe Trent and Pastor Eric Lockett officiating. Burial will follow at Gunnings Cemetery in Blountville.
