Cynthia Jean "Jeannie" Hensley

On Thursday, April 12, 2012, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend went to her heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer. She went to help prepare for our greatest family reunion in Heaven.

Jeannie resided most of her life in Kingsport, graduating from Holston High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by AMECO. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie M. "Mick" Hensley, father, Haskett Wayne Hensley and nephew, Kenny Wayne Hensley.

Jeannie is survived by the father of her children, John W. McNutt; daughters and son-in-laws, Shannon and Jay Herron, Jodi and Michael Strycharz, and Marla and Chris Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Elizabeth McNutt; nine grandchildren, Angela and Logan Mann, Jessica Shaffer and husband, Justin, Victoria Luther, Olivia and Suzanna Strycharz, Dawson and Austin Brown, and Elijah and Alaina McNutt; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Aidan Mann, and Addison Shaffer; sisters, Jody Hensley, and Sheila and husband, Eddie Knight; brothers, Ron and wife, Sharon Hensley, and Mike Hensley; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 14th from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 15th at 2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Rev. David Salley officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Gunnings Cemetery.
