Cynthia Rae Robinson of Kingsport passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, following an extended battle with cancer. Cindy was born on March 27, 1963, to Robert and Patricia Robinson in Orlando, Florida. She fought the battle of cancer until Jesus took her to the beautiful rainbow that she told her mom she saw. She passed away with her family by her side. Cindy loved to hear the scriptures of I Corinthians 15:35-49. She was looking forward to her new heavenly, spiritual body that she now has.
Cindy had lived most of her life in Kingsport. She was a 1981 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Robinson, Jr., who died in 1986; grandparents, Bob and Flora Robinson; grandmother, Lillie Arnold Johnson; and a special aunt, Betty Arnold Collins.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Patricia "Pat" Robinson of Kingsport; sisters, Robin Robinson Dice and husband Franklin of Kingsport and Kelly E. Robinson, also of Kingsport; nephew, Jonathan Dice and wife Lezlee of Knoxville; and great-nephew, Caleb Lee Dice.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 12 Noon at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, and will be officiated by Cindy's uncle, Bill Arnold. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
