Daisy Margaret Head, 78, of Colonial Heights, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning June 28, 2007 following an extended illness while surrounded by family at home.
Margaret had resided in Kingsport most of her life. She was a former employee of J. P. Stevens and then worked at Parks Belk.
She was of the Baptist faith. Margaret?s life evolved around her family and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her son, Richard ?Ricky? Head; parents, Ormond and Thelma Holley; and a brother, Bryan Holley.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Head; three daughters, Evelyn Rafalowski and husband Teddy, Brenda Owens and husband Harold, and Faye Payne and husband John; seven grandchildren, Julia Ann Rafalowski, Trey Rafalowski, Taylor Payne, Madison Payne, Kenny Trivitte, Kristy Radford, and Wendy Lovelace; seven sisters, Evelyn Collins, Barbara Willett, Juanita Slater, Betty Ann Holley, Allene Case, Jean Hagan, and Mable Hensley; one brother, James Holley; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Gaither Townsend officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Head, Teddy Rafalowski, Harold Owens, John Payne, Trey Rafalowski, Mark Overbay, Frank Dishner, and Jerry Dishner.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dave Dishner.
