Dale Donald, 37, of Kingsport died Sunday morning at 2:15 a.m. at the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol after an extended illness with brain cancer.
He was a life-long resident of Kingsport. Dale was a 1993 graduate of Sullivan North High School. He owned and operated Golf Carts-To-Go in Kingsport for many years. He was of the Baptist faith.
The family would like to thank Wellmont Hospice House, Mt. Pleasant & Emmanuel Baptist Churches, neighbors Ronnie Marshall, Margaret Tipton, Mark & Kathy Hayter, and co-workers of his mother.
Dale was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jean & Chester Dykes; paternal grandparents, Alice & Roy Donald; uncles, Bill Donald and Jerry Donald.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Donald; fiancé, Michelle Gillenwater; daughters, Alicia Laughlin, Lindsey Gillenwater; parents, Larry L.D. & Barbara Donald, all of Kingsport; brother, Larry Mark "Duck" Donald and wife Claudia, Gray; sisters, Traci Gibson and husband Bill, Gibsonville, NC, Amy McFarlane and husband Brian, Dandridge; nieces, Allison Gibson and Summer Donald; nephews, Tyler & Jackson Gibson, Matthew Donald, Brad, Ethan and Cooper McFarlane; aunts and uncles, Becky Donald, Ann Donald, Connie "Buddie" and Ron Fry, Diana and Gary Clark, Dobbin & Trula Fleming, and Delayna Hayter.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. William D. Gibson and Pastor David Powers officiating.
The graveside service will be on Thursday, September 1, at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Marshall, Danny Bailey, Darrell Johnson, Randy Fleming, Tandy Fleming and John Fleming.
