Dallas Bernard, 56, passed quietly away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He had a zest for life, loved traveling and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was kind and generous and loved by all who knew him.
Dallas was preceded in death by his father, Lon Bernard.
Surviving are his wife Ruby D. Bernard; his daughter Jennifer McCamy and spouse, Randy Ladd; mother Ruby H. Bernard; sister Alice Alverson and spouse Mike; special niece Mitzi Light; special nephew JR Light; special friends: Chuck and Carolyn Crawford, Sid and Sondra Rhoton, Bill and Dewey Lane, Steve and Sandra Head, Junior and Lorene Reed; his extended family at Tri-City and Asheville Waste Paper and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011 with visitation from 2 to 4pm and remembrance at 4 pm in the MeadowView Ballroom at the MeadowView Convention Center in Kingsport.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or Journey's End Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 6430 Kingsport, TN 37663.
