Dan Carlton Feagins

Dan Feagins (Ole Fig) passed away July 30, 2016 following a brief illness. Born in Albany, Georgia to the late Beatrice L. and Roy E. Feagins, his family moved to Kingsport in the 50's. Dan was a 1964 graduate of Ketron High School where he was fortunate to have some outstanding teachers, coaches and mentors. He was an alumnus of Northeast State Community College and East Tennessee State University. Dan retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 34 years.

He leaves behind his precious wife and partner of 45 years, Stephanie, their extraordinary son Matthew (wife, Nikkii), of whom he was very proud, and many very special friends.

For the past quarter century Dan has been an enthusiastic patron and supporter of the performing arts and in lieu of flowers, would like contributions sent to the Barter Theatre Annual Fund, (276)619-3315 or [email protected]

Dan wishes for people to be kind to one another and every chance they get, to tell the special people in their lives what they mean to them.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors and hospice of Holston Valley Medical Center.

A private cremation service will be held, with a celebration of life at a later date.
