Dan W. McMillan

Dan W. McMillan, 87, Kingsport, died of natural causes at his home on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2019.  Dan was born in Spartanburg, SC, and had resided in Kingsport upon completion of 3 years of art school in Nashville.  He was a commercial artist and displayed his art in various art galleries. Dan had a special interest in the Daniel Boone Auto Club.  Dan’s art received several awards and was often displayed throughout the area.  Dan was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lorene McMillan, and brother, Frank McMillan.

Dan is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fay C. McMillan; sons, Daniel, Jeremy and Chris McMillan; and 7 grandchildren, Alexis, Thomas, Brianna, Ciarra, Summer, Nicholas and Chelleigh.

The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Monday at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Andrew Sunday School Class.
