Dania ?Jean? Phillips, 69, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at her home after a short battle with cancer. Jean was born in Greene County, Tennessee and had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a member of Horse Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Jean was a devoted mother, wife and sister. She touched many lives during her 50 years as a hairdresser.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Allen Phillips; her mother, Betsy Estep Charlton; her father, Dana Charlton; her brother, Kenneth Charlton.
Surviving is her devoted and loving husband of 51 years, Bobby K. Phillips, of the home; one son, Kenny Phillips of Kingsport; one grandson, Markie Phillips; three sisters, Ilene Davis, Freda Bailey, Julia Cooter, all of Kingsport; one brother, Bill Charlton of Kingsport; two half sisters, Ina Elkins, of Mt. Carmel, Faye McClain, of Kingsport and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Mr. Bill Wampler Jr. officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
