Daniel Wesley Richard

Daniel Wesley Richard died January 16, 2023.  Dan was born in Cleveland, OH on June 2, 1955.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred Richard Mobley and Ralph Richard.  His brother Bob Richard died in 2021.

In 1980 Dan graduated from ETSU with a BS in Education.  He managed several local McDonald’s until he retired in 2017. 

Dan served his country and his community. He served in the US Army from 1973-1976 and was stationed in Korea at Camp Casey and at Homestead Air Reserve Base. 

For several years Dan served on the Board of the Gray, TN Community Chest. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to them in Dan’s memory. Their address is:

He is survived by Sally Dyer Richard, his wife of 45 years, his friends since high school, the Crew and his beloved cat, Oreo.

Dan’s many friends and neighbors will miss him.

The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
