Danny Richard Wyrick

Danny R. Wyrick, 64, Kingsport, was called home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, December 23, 2014. He was born and raised in Kingsport where he continued to reside his entire life. He was a 1968 graduate of Sullivan High School. Danny was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a certified welder for a number of years and had been a truck driver for the last 20 years. He was a gifted carpenter and builder. He was a devoted, loving husband of 31 years. Danny and Zella's love was unconditional and they enjoyed sharing trips on their motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Eula Wyrick, and sister, Doris Hicks.

Danny is survived by his wife, Zella Mae (Jobe) Wyrick of Kingsport; two daughters, Angela Dotson and Brad, and Patricia Fleming and husband, Tod both of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Eric Bailey, Dustin Kilgore, Brittany Morelock, and Hunter Dotson; six great-grandchildren, Kimber, Ansley, Berkley, Kinsley, Clayton and Cooper; and his greatly loved dog, Eli.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, 2018 West Clinch Ave., Knoxville, TN 37916.
