Darlene Simcox Brown, 61, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord at her home on May 12, 2009 following an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Simcox; and her mother and father-in-law, Lyman and Eula Brown.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 34 years, David Russel Brown, of Fall Branch; a daughter, Darlene Renee Brown and fiancé Jamie Painter, both of Fall Branch; five grandchildren, Tosha Hartman, Kelsey Johnson, Logan Johnson, Lynn Painter, and Jessica Painter, all of Fall Branch; her mother, Edna Simcox, of Bristol, VA; two sisters, Beverly Davis and husband Junior Davis of Bluff City and Cecilia White and husband Roger of Abingdon, VA; one brother, Daryll Simcox and wife Tammy of Bristol, VA; two nephews, Lee White and Kelly Davis; three nieces, Cindy Dinkel, Karen Cross, and Madison Simcox; and several special friends and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Ron Owens officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Rush, Greg Rush, John William Brown, Bobby Good, Dewayne Barnes, Dewayne Mitchell, Eddie Keplinger, and David Cox.
