Darrell L. Dykes

Darrell L. Dykes, 65, Fall Branch, TN, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Kingsport, he resided in the Fall Branch Community most of his life.

Mr. Dykes was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association.

His wife, Dolly Dykes, father, Harold Dykes and brother, Luke Dykes preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother, Dolores Dykes, Fall Branch, TN; sister, Theresa Dykes Renfro and husband Darrell, Limestone, TN; daughter, Sonya White, Johnson City, TN; niece, Sherri Roth; nephews, Jack Renfro and Jason Renfro.

Calling hours are Sunday from 1-2:00 p.m. at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.

Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stan Martin officiating.

Graveside services will be 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 3/265.
