Darrell Sherfey

Darrell Sherfey, 42, of Kingsport, gave up the ghost on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He was an avid softball player and a fan of the Atlanta Braves. Darrell was a TN Vol and Peyton Manning fan. Darrell will always be remembered for his vast remarks of witty sarcasm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Carolyn Sherfey.

Darrell is survived by his son, Joseph Sherfey of Clendenin, WV; daughter, Courtney Sherfey of Clendenin, WV; brothers, Donald Sherfey of Kingsport, David Sherfey and wife, Brenda of Kingsport, and Daniel Sherfey and wife, Melissa of Telford, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Mike Hall of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Lewis Meade and Brother Danny Dolen officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Bowery, Russell Bowery, Jamie Pendleton, Mike Hall, Michael Hall, Jr., Greg Hall, Brad Compton and Joe Sherfey.
