Darren Ellenburg

Darren Keith Ellenburg, 50, of Chuckey, TN, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Darren was a Paramedic/EMT instructor and coordinator, professor, and paramedic program director at Northeast State Community College. He was past president of Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Education Association (TEMSEA), and past chairman of the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Board. Darren was an avid TN Vols fan.

He is survived by his son, Chase Ellenburg and wife, Lauren Hope of Greeneville; granddaughter, Nora Grace Ellenburg; parents, James and Brenda Ellenburg of Chuckey, TN; sister, Kimberly Thompson and husband, Michael of Greeneville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm.

Honorary pallbearers will be former students and associates of his medical career.
