Dave Ketron

J. David Ketron, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Wellmont Hospice after a short illness. He had resided in Kingsport most of his life and was a 1957 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. Dave attended East Tennessee State University and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Quebecor Printing Company as a pricing specialist in 1998. Dave was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Ketron and Kathlyn Bowyer Ketron.

Dave is survived by his wife of 50 ½ years, Nancy Gates Ketron; daughter, Michelle Ketron-Kersey; very special grandson, Zackary David Kersey, all of Kingsport; and brother, Larry C. Ketron & wife, Linda of Pawleys Island, SC.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 19th from 10-11:00 am at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am with Rev. Mickey W. Rainwater and Rev. Jack Weikel officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.
