David Russell Brown

David Russell Brown, 71, Fall Branch, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his home. Born in Washington County, TN, he has lived in this area most of his life. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Lowe’s in contractor sales after many years of service. David loved his farm, whether it was mowing, putting up hay or feeding the cattle. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. David enjoyed his Friday night crab legs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Eula Brown; first wife, Darlene Brown; and sister, Nancy Brown Stevens.

David is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Marshall Brown; daughter, Darla Brown; grandchildren, Tosha Hartman, Kelsey Johnson, and Logan Johnson; great-grandchild, Rylan Hartman; stepchildren, Vanessa Mounger and husband Alan, Teresa Laney and Rocky Stacy, and Tony Marshall and Leigh Ann; several step-grandchildren sister, Elizabeth Russell and Richard Crumley; several cousins; special friend, Mike Baskette; super special aunt to us, Delores Hicks; and many many friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Ron Owens officiating. Music by Dan Moneyhun and Terry Christian.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Mitchell, Rocky Stacy, Tony Marshall, Mike Hubbard, Logan Johnson, and Tyler Gilliam.
