David Kirk Felts
David Kirk Felts passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Gate City, VA. He was born on October 21, 1956 to Joe Neal and Sharon Felts on N.A.S. Jacksonville, FL. David was a graduate of Emory and Henry College and a long time employee of Wellmont Health Systems.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Neal Felts of Galax, VA.
Surviving family members include wife, Rachel Catron-Felts; daughter, Ariel Felts; mother, Sharon Felts; sister, Shari Kingery; brother-in-law, Tom Kingery; niece, Kara Kingery, and nephew, Caleb Kingery.
David was a truly unique person and our lives are all a little brighter having known him.
Memorial services will be held at First Broad Street United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Andrew Amodei officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be held immediately after the service.
