David H. Lane

David H. Lane, 59, of Blountville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 as a result of an auto accident. David was a carpenter and worked for Pike Electric. He was a Free Mason with Holston Masonic Lodge #559. David was a devout Christian and attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. He was a hard working man who loved his family. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Agnes Lane.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Hartsock Lane of Blountville; son, Jeremiah David Lane and wife, Amanda of Kingsport; his two loving grandchildren, Jacob Lane and Madison Lane; sister, Martha E. Washburn; aunt, Nada Kirby of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Mike Stout officiating. Music will be provided by Mike Smith. A Masonic Service will be conducted just prior to the service Friday by Holston Masonic Lodge #559.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Skeen Cemetery in Nickelsville, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Brett Harmon, Tommy Davis, Tom Davis, Kevin Hass, Claude Hartsock, Paul Hartsock and Jacob Lane.
