David Lee Miller, 33, Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, May 29, 2007.
David was born in the Sulphur Springs area where he lived his entire life. He was employed at Dairy Queen in Gray and was mostly known for his mechanical ability.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a loving father, son, and friend. David always greeted everyone with a smile and will be missed by all who knew him. He truly had a heart of gold and could give the best bear hug anyone could have.
David was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Miller; his maternal grandparents, Haskel and Lola Wines; his paternal grandparents, William and Alice Miller.
Surviving are his loving fiancée, Shannon Barron; daughter, Asya Miller; stepson, Michael; parents, Ronnie and Carolyn Miller; and a special sister, Christy Hubbard, all of Jonesborough; nephews, Dalton and Jesse Miller; and sister-in-law, Julie Miller, all of Johnson City; a cousin thought of as his ?little brother?, Jamie Harris, of Jonesborough; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Scalf and Evangelist Charlie McCamey officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Hamlett-Dobson, P. O. Box 27, Kingsport, TN 37662 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
