David Ray Starnes

David Ray Starnes, 61, of Greene County, died on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Greystone Healthcare. David was a farmer and loved his roosters and his mules.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Shirley Starnes, and nephew, R. J. Starnes.

David is survived by his wife, Wanda Starnes; daughter, Amy Starnes; 3 grandchildren, Briana, Allie and Jaydon; sister, Lori Starnes; 3 brothers, Larry Starnes & wife, Jerri, Johnny Starnes and wife, Patti, and Roger Starnes; sister-in-law, Dian Starnes; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A special thanks to the staff of Greystone Healthcare for the excellent care and compassion that was given to David.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3:00 pm at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ken Thomas and Pastor Wade McAmis officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Logan Starnes, Matt Starnes, Robert Starnes, Paul Murray, David Sparks, Robby Seymore, and honorary pallbearer, David Buckner.
