David James Triantas

David Triantas, 66, of Fall Branch, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born in Baltimore, MD but spent most all his life in East Tennessee. He grew up in Long Island, a neighborhood in Kingsport near the Eastman, this is where he met his wife Patricia when they were just teenagers. After marrying, they moved to Fall Branch where they raised their three children.

David was a loving father and papaw. He was also a wonderful friend, known by most around him as “Indian”.

David was preceded in death by his granny who raised him, Nala; father, James Triantas; older brother, Jeffery Triantas; and older sister, Lois Conti.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Triantas; oldest daughter, Jessica Bernal and boyfriend, Cenobio Perez of Greeneville; his only son, David and Sarah Triantas of Afton; his baby girl, Annie and Sierra Triantas of Kingsport; five grandsons, Cristian Bernal, Cortez Perez, Fernando Perez, Cruz Alfonso Zuniga and Evan Triantas; two granddaughters, Celeste Zuniga and Adalyn Triantas; one great-granddaughter, Maddison Rain Bernal; and his favorite sidekick, his dog, Chicco.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Jonathan Jones officiating.

Graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth “Keno” Melton, Donnie Horne, Allen Smalley, Woody, Cristian Bernal and Mike Lister.
