Davina Lyn Maltsburger

Davina Lyn Maltsburger, 37, of Chuckey, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Davina worked at Free Will Baptist Family Ministries, Inc., in Greeneville. She held a Bachelors degree from ETSU, a Masters degree from Tusculum, and was pursuing a Doctorate at ETSU. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and she will be missed greatly by her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather, Dallas and Mary Lee Higgins, and her grandfather, Ott Drain.

She is survived by a son, Hunter Maltsburger; her father and mother, David and Betty Maltsburger; her sister, Brandy Maltsburger; nephew Ethan Maltsburger; grandmother. Georgia Drain; several aunts and uncles; and special friend, Brad Pierce.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7:00, with Rev. Roger Dykes, Rev. Donnie Bailey, and Rev. Dwayne Steele officiating. Music will be provided by Keith Williams and Janet Shipley.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Jimmy Ward, Jamie Ward, Steve Moffitt, Kip Morelock, Tim White, Marvin Malone, Wes Pierce, Randall Dickerson, and Jason Jackson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Kindergarten Class at West Pines Elementary School.
