Debbie McCurry

Debbie McCurry, 63, of Kingsport, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Kingsport where she lived all of her life. She was a 1966 graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School and worked for 36 years at the Kingsport Press and several years at Food City. Debbie was a very kind and giving person and she will be deeply missed. She loved her dog "Gracie" and was an avid cat lover.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois McCurry and brother, Barry McCurry.

Survivors include a brother, Craig McCurry of Kingsport; niece, Jessica McMurray of Kingsport; nephew, Jackson McCurry of Kingsport; and special friend Sandy Linkous of Kingsport.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, April 8, 2011 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
