Debra Yvonne Wynne, 50, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her, on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Kingsport on February 2, 1963, a daughter of Glenn L. and Gail Wynne, she had resided here since 1995 having moved here from Dallas, TX.

She was a Christian and had been employed with Aid and Assist as a caregiver while continuing her education at ETSU. She received her BA from ETSU in 1998. Debra was a member of the SSWA (Student Social Worker Association), a member of Phi Gamma Mu, and a former Dean's List Honoree.

Debra was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Chase, and her paternal grandfather, Glenn L. Wynne, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Gail Tejeda of Johnson City; father, Glenn L. Wynne, Jr. and wife, Janis of Fall Branch; half brother, Chris Wynne; step brothers, Justin and Scott Jenkins; mother, Gail Wynne of Kingsport; brother, Victor Wynne of Kingsport; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Davis of Delaware; several cousins, aunts and uncles; and her dog, Lulu.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Rock Springs United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Buddy Butler officiating.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Journey's End No Kill Animal Shelter or the Make A Wish Foundation.
