Della Jane Jones Estepp departed this life at Indian Path Medical Center on April 3, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Reece Jones, Sr. and Sena Bell Russell Jones; brothers, Conley Ray, Ernest and Rufus; sisters, Dana Ruth Jones and Kate Kendrick; three brothers-in-law, Kenneth Jones, Lloyd Quillen and Lonnie Kendrick; and two infant sisters and one infant brother.
Della is survived by her husband, Robert Estepp of Kingsport; brother, James R. Jones, Jr. and wife Elaine of Ryegate, VT; sisters, Louella Jones of Glade Springs, VA, Ruby Quillen of Kingsport, and Lynda Jones of Church Hill; sister-in-law, Ruth Jones of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Della lived her life worshiping God on a daily basis. Her favorite hobby was cooking, but best of all she loved children. Her special love was her sister, Dana Ruth.
A celebration of life will be held at Red Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Gate City, VA, on June 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Raymond Hammonds. James Jones, Jr. will give the eulogy. Music will be provided by the Absher Trio, Jodi Hammonds, and Rev. Gary Hunley. The family will receive friends after the service.
