Della Mae Hickman Gragg, 69, of Kingsport, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 16, 2011.
She was a Saint and Prayer warrior of Tri-City Apostolic Church. Della was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all and will be missed greatly.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Hazel Hickman; one brother, Charles Hickman; two sisters, Flora Peewee Morelock and Nell Richards; and one daughter, Martha E. Gragg.
Surviving are husband of 47 years, Homer Tommy Gragg; two sons, Charles Gragg and wife Teema of Church Hill, TN and Birthal Gragg of the home; four daughters, Karen Weaver and husband Junior of Kingsport, TN, Penny Farmer and husband Gary of Gray, TN, Loretta Light and husband Charlie of Kingsport, TN, and Lisa Puckett and husband Billy of Kingsport, TN; four sisters, Shirley Gragg of Kingsport, TN, Jeanette Martin of Greene Co., TN, Joyce Ready and husband Steve of Greeneville, TN, and Mercia Chankin of Texas; four brothers, Willie Hickman and wife Charlene, of Greeneville, TN, Steve Hickman and wife Jerry Pete, Lee Hickman, and Hubert Hickman and wife Donna, all of Kingsport, TN; fifteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one soon to be great-grand son, and special friend Lisa Johnson of Kingsport, TN.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Tri-City Apostolic Church or anytime at the home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. with Bishop Fred Greer and Rev. Mack Greer officiating.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Women of Tri-City Apostolic Church.
