Della M. Williams, 89, of Fall Branch, passed away December 13, 2009 at Asbury Place, Kingsport, after a brief illness.
Born November 28, 1920, in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Landon Conley and Nancy Jane Adams.
Della was an active member of Fall Branch United Methodist Church. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and sharing them with family and friends. Della was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include a daughter, Marlene Crouch; son and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Lyla Williams; granddaughter and husband, Laura and Alex Caldwell; three grandsons and their wives, Adam and Glenda Williams, Craig and Crystal Cox, and Matthew and Lindsey Williams; stepgranddaughter and husband, Jennifer and J.J. Brazee; step-grandson, Robbie Crouch; four great-grandchildren, Luke and Landon Williams, Jessica and Zachary Cox; two step-great-grandchildren, Abigail and Joseph Butler; one sister, Lizzie Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
Della was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lon Hugh Williams; one sister; and six brothers.
The family will receive friends at Fall Branch United Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:30. Services will be conducted at the church at 2:30, with Rev. Barry Lane officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, at Zion Cemetery, Baileyton. Those wishing to join the funeral procession are requested to gather at Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home at 12:00 noon.
