Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Delphia A. Kilgore, 73, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2012 at the Wexford House Nursing Home. She was born November 17, 1938, in Haysi, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley; mother, Prudy Yates; brothers, Esten Yates and Percy Yates; sisters, Polly McClanahan, Norma Jean Yates and Darlene Yates; step-children, Lucinda Kilgore, Perry Kilgore and Gerald Kilgore; and granddaughter, Laura Kilgore.
Delphia is survived by her father, Freelin Yates and step-mother, Emily Yates of Haysi, Virginia; daughter, Malinda Moore and husband, Doug of Kingsport, TN; step-daughter, Marcella Farmer and husband, Bill of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Camey Moore, Melody Castle, Matthew Kilgore and Jason Farmer; great-grandson, Jeffery Castle; sister, Edna Colley; and brothers, Basil and Clinton Yates, all of Haysi, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3rd from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 4th at 3:00 pm with viewing starting at 2:00 pm at Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church. Elder Ronnie Hensley and Elder Roger Coleman will be officiating. Burial will be at the Church Family Cemetery.
