Demaris "Mari" J. Phillips, 82, of Kingsport, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
Mari was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church. She graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL and from Copley Nursing College at Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL. Mari retired from nursing after twenty nine years of service at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Elza McDole; brother, Tod McDole.
Mari is survived by her children: Darcey, Robin, Lindsey, and Alexa Phillips; sister, Dione Terbush.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Steadman Hill Asbury Center, Caris Health Care, Law Office of Randy Fleming and the late Michael May.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.
It was Mari's wishes to be cremated.
