Dennis Hayes

Dennis Hayes, 91, of Fall Branch Community, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013. Dennis served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from Eastman Kodak after 40+ years of Service. He was a member of Fall Branch First Baptist Church for over 50 years. Dennis was an avid NASCAR fan and liked to farm, garden and loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Maxline Light Hayes, parents, George and Clyde Hayes and infant brother, Ralph.

Dennis is survived by two sons, Randy Hayes and wife, Sandra of Jonesborough, and Todd Hayes and wife, Penny of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Stephanie Bullock and husband, Chris of Jonesborough, and Alex and Houston Hayes of Kingsport; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Bullock; sister, Gladys McCrary of Gray; and brother, Ray Hayes and wife, Dorothy of Fall Branch.

The family would like to thank Ella McCrary Strickland, Mima Jean Taylor and all of the staff of Advance Home Health Care of Greenville for their special care and loving attention.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 1-3:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating. Immediately following, the graveside service will occur at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch.

Following the graveside service First Baptist Church will provide a meal in the Fellowship Hall. Anyone wishing to bring food may take it to the Fellowship Hall after 2:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Baines, Bud Cox, Don Haren, Brian Hayes, Jimmy Hayes, Danny Jones, Roger McAmis, John McCrary, George Moody, Kenny Newcombe, Randall Phillips, Richard Phillips, Roger Dale Phillips, and Jerry Price.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department, c/o BJ Dawson, P.O. Box 84, Fall Branch, TN 37656.
