Dennis Michael Thomas

Dennis Michael Thomas, 68, of Rogersville, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. A native of Pensacola, FL, he had spent most of his life in Jacksonville. Dennis was a man of many trades over the years but for most of his life he was a truck driver. He moved to this area in 1985 having loved the mountains. Dennis loved his family, laughing and fishing. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and native Indian music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Hollowstock.

Dennis is survived by the love of his life, Gayle Moore; three daughters, Robin Reneé Thomas, Sue Ann Tomlin, and Pamela Gayle Moore; son, Christopher T. Moore; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; stepdad, Mike Hollowstock; brother, Joe; sister, Barbara; sister-in-law, Ginger Writer and husband, Jack; two brothers-in-law, Charles Yoakum and wife, Maria, and James R. Yoakum and wife, Judith; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
