Dewey McClain

Dewey Martin McClain 91, of Blountville passed away November 19, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Dewey was a retired teacher in Sullivan County Schools for vocational education. He served in the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean War. Dewey was a member of Blountville Christian Church where he served as a teacher, treasurer and deacon of the church.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Della McClain; and sister, Jewel Campbell.

He is survived by the joy of his life, daughter, Jennifer McClain; his wife, Mildred Ann Cross McClain; sisters, Geneva Wood, Elva Rock and Kathleen Barger; along with several nieces and nephews.

Guests are invited to come and pay their respects and sign the register between the hours of 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Blountville. Funeral services will be family only, presided over by Mark Stacey.
