Dickey Lee Whitehead

Dickey Whitehead, 40, Kingsport, died Tuesday morning, November 6, 2007, at his home.

He was a mechanic.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, J. D. and Beatrice Fink, Earl and Patsy Whitehead; his father, Dickey ?Tony? Whitehead; a cousin, Mickey Walker; and several aunts and uncles.

Surviving are his wife, Nikki Whitehead, Kingsport; six daughters, Michelle Whitehead, Kingsport, Kassie Whitehead, Kingsport, Kelly Whitehead, Kingsport, Ashley Ford, Gray, TN, Whitney Reynolds, Blountville, and Destiny Reynolds, Greeneville; his mother, Sandra Denton and husband, Larry, Johnson City; a sister, Katrina Denton from Georgia; five brothers, Robert Whitehead, Elizabethton, Richard Denton, Louisiana, Greg Denton, Texas, Richard Whitehead, Jonesborough, Tony Whitehead, Jonesborough; an uncle, Joe Shortt; an aunt, Irma Holt; two special nephews, Jeffery and Corey Lane; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Monte Vista Burial Park with Pastor Jason Wiley officiating. Friends and family who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Alton Satterfield, Joe Strong, Harold Byrd, Timmy Holt, Danny Overbay, Danny Chapman, and Aaron Hilbert.
