Dolores A. White

Dolores A. White, 78, Surgoinsville, TN passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her home. She worked for North Electric for 14 years and as a 911 dispatcher for Sullivan County for 10 years, retiring in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Evelyn Barr.

Dolores is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, James D. White; son, Gary Wilson and wife, Freeda; daughter, Beth Dye and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Rachel Williams and husband, Steve, Melissa Winegar and husband, William, Julie Thacker and husband, Daniel and Wes Wilson; great-grandchildren, Andy, Chandra, Austin, Brayden and Tyler; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thanks to Amedysis Hospice and to her caregiver, Summer Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Odell officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Church Cemetery in Surgoinsville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
