Don Mason

Donald Eugene "Bubba" Mason, 75, Kingsport, was called home Tuesday, May 15th, at Indian Path Medical Center following an extended illness. Don was born in Kingsport, where he had resided for most of his life. He was a retired employee of AGC Flat Glass, Greenland Plant, North America. Don was of the Baptist Faith and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lula Mason; wife, Carrie Mason; son, Donald Eugene Mason, Jr.; two brothers, Eddie and Dennis Mason; and sister, Gloria Bearfield.

He is survived by brother, Jerry E. Mason and wife, Shirley of Bristol, TN; two granddaughters, Melody Mitchell and husband, Mitch, and Jodi Newcomb; three great-grandchildren, Edward, Destiny and Zachary; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18th from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19th at 1:00 pm in the Hamlett-Dobson Chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mount Vernon Methodist Church Cemetery.
